About Us

In 2024, the founder and their partner decided to go on vacation to Sri Lanka. Before departure, they gathered information about travel possibilities within the country. They connected with a Dutch couple who had been working for years to help disadvantaged people in Sri Lanka. They provided the phone number of a local Christian who would act as their driver for three weeks, ensuring safety amidst sometimes dangerous traffic conditions in the country. This driver, named Dinush Sameera, has since become a full-time pastor.

The trip was an incredible experience. The love for the country and its extremely hospitable people deeply touched our hearts. Witnessing the dire circumstances in which many live and the extreme contrasts between the wealthy West and this struggling nation was overwhelming. During the trip, under the guidance of a pastor and alongside Sameera, we visited several families affiliated with a church in Wellawaya. The first house we visited had no toilet, shower, or running water. Its clay walls and recently replaced plastic sheets as roofing had previously been palm leaves. This was explained as not unusual. Many families struggle to earn enough to provide food for their families amidst extreme poverty.

Upon returning to the Netherlands, within months, we saw news reports about severe flooding in Sri Lanka that left many dead and in distress. People lost their livelihoods and could no longer work. A bank account was opened, and a relief effort was organized. Dozens of families received food packages for their immediate needs. Sameera played a key role in this relief effort, arranging purchases, transportation, and distribution of goods with his ministry team to those in desperate need.

Shortly after, we decided to establish a foundation with ANBI status (date pending) to provide larger-scale and more professional aid to the people of Sri Lanka. A team was formed with members of the “Love of God Gospel Ministry” in Marawila, Sri Lanka.

We feel called to reflect Christ’s love by serving the poor and vulnerable in Sri Lanka. Inspired by the Gospel, we provide not only material aid but also emotional and spiritual support, aiming to build a future based on dignity and justice.
